Educators in Grades K-12

The NASA Educator Professional Development Collaborative at
Texas State University is providing a 1-hour webinar.

Join us to learn how astronomers are able to learn about the solar system and beyond in ways not possible with ground-based telescopes. Learn about SOFIA, the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy, a Boeing 747SP aircraft modified to carry a 2.7 -meter reflecting telescope. Flying into the stratosphere puts SOFIA above 99% of Earth's infarared-blocking atmosphere. See examples from deep space such as stars, planets, galaxies and beyond. Make real world connections with everyday technologies as you learn about NASA STEM resources

Discussion will include classroom modifications.
