University of Hawaii Manoa and NASA STEM Session 2: Moon to Mars the Next Generation of Explorers

The NASA Educator Professional Development Collaborative at
Texas State University is providing a 2.5-hour webinar.

NASA is expanding human exploration by visiting the Moon and then Mars. The new Lunar Exploration program that will land the first woman and the next man on the surface of the moon is called the Artemis Program. To enable educators to engage their students with the Artemis Program, NASA has developed curriculum modules on concepts related to Space Launch System (SLS), Orion, and The Gateway. This webinar will explore how to teach Science and Engineering Practices that also drive the Artemis Mission's orbiting lunar outpost - the Gateway.

	Sara Garcia-Torres currently serves as an EPD Specialist at NASA Ames Research Center. She works with educators, families, and community members to support STEM efforts. Her research interests include STEM education. She holds degrees from TSU (MEd), and UTSA (BA). Sara is also pursuing PhD studies at Texas State University.
